8 Outstanding Players Selected for State-Level Competitions – Saini

The Moga Yoga Association (Regd. No. 174) organised the District-Level Yoga Championship–2026 at Blooming Buds School. Children in the age group of 8 to 18 years from different parts of Moga district participated enthusiastically in the championship and showcased their skills through various yoga asanas. The championship was inaugurated by President Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and School Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini, who jointly cut the ribbon and ceremonially lit the lamp to mark the beginning of the event. Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani and CEO Rahul Chhabra of Blooming Buds School were also present on the occasion. Welcoming all the participants and their team in-charges, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini said that yoga is an ancient and invaluable heritage of Indian culture. Regular yoga practice not only promotes physical fitness but also plays an important role in enhancing mental peace, concentration and overall well-being. He said that the Moga Yoga Association is organising such competitions with the aim of encouraging the younger generation to adopt a healthy lifestyle. He extended his best wishes to all the participants for their future endeavours. The competitions were conducted separately for boys and girls in different age categories. Various yoga asanas were selected for each age group, keeping in view the participants’ abilities and the complexity of the postures. The results were prepared by the judges based on the participants’ balance, patience, endurance, flexibility and accuracy in performing the asanas. Mrs. Satvir Kaur, Mrs. Rama Saini and Mrs. Anju Bala served as judges during the championship. Narinderpal Sethi and Parvinder Sethi from Samrala also attended the event as special guests. They felicitated the winning players by presenting them with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals along with certificates. The Association announced that eight players who delivered outstanding performances at the district-level championship have been selected to represent the district at the state-level yoga competitions. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini congratulated the selected players and expressed hope that they would continue their excellent performance at the state level and bring laurels to District Moga.
