Blooming Buds School, Moga Celebrated 80th Independence Day of India
Special event held under the theme 'Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat–2047' – Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution in Moga city, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, zeal, and patriotic spirit under the able guidance of BBS Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini. On this occasion, along with Independence Day, the 150th anniversary of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ was also specially commemorated. The central theme of this year’s event was ‘Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat–2047’ (Youth Power for a Developed India–2047).The event began with Madam Kamal Saini and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini hoisting the national tricolour and the school flag. This was followed by the school choir presenting the national anthem. Led by the school band, NCC cadets and students of the Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow Houses performed an impressive march past, saluting the national flag. Under the leadership of the school captains, students and staff also took an oath to remain loyal and honest to the nation and to fulfil their responsibilities. On this occasion, BBS Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini congratulated all students, teachers, and staff on Independence Day and paid tribute to the great martyrs and freedom fighters of the independence struggle. In his address, he said that since 1947, India has made significant progress in every field, including education, agriculture, science, technology, space, health, and defence. He said that the younger generation has the most important role to play in realizing the dream of making India a developed nation by 2047, because the students sitting in school classrooms today are the ones who will go on to play a key role in nation-building. Giving a message to the students, he said: “Dream, learn, work hard, serve, and lead.” He encouraged students to adopt the qualities of honesty, discipline, unity, patriotism, and responsible citizenship, adding that the country’s real progress is possible not only through government efforts but through every citizen honestly fulfilling their duties. During the event, the group song “Lehra Do,” prepared by the school’s music teacher Abhishek, was presented. The little children of LKG and UKG won everyone’s hearts by reciting patriotic poems. Students of Classes 1 and 2 performed a charming dance on patriotic songs choreographed by Madam Arshia. Similarly, students of Classes 3 and 4 presented a wonderful dance on the song “Jai Hind,” choreographed by Madam Shivani. Students of Classes 5 and 6 presented impactful choreography on various patriotic songs prepared by Madam Tanisha. Under the guidance of Madam Radam, students of Classes 7 and 8 performed folk dances from different states of India, conveying the message of “Unity in Diversity.” Students from Classes 6 to 9 performed a dance dedicated to patriotism, choreographed by Madam Simple. At the end of the event, girl students of Classes 10 and 12 made the event memorable with a spectacular Punjabi folk dance choreographed by Madam Anita Rani. Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini congratulated the students on the 80th Independence Day, saying that today’s students are the builders of tomorrow’s India. She encouraged students to shed bad habits and negative thoughts within themselves and move forward with hard work, discipline, and positive thinking. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani said that this year’s Independence Day has brought with it special enthusiasm and new hopes. She said the theme ‘Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat–2047’ connects the youth with the nation’s future and inspires the building of a new, strong, and developed India. She added that the purpose of organizing such events in the school is not only to make students aware of history and the importance of independence, but also to instill in them a sense of love for the country, responsibility, unity, and national consciousness. At the end of the event, the school management distributed chocolates to all students and staff to mark the joy of Independence Day. The entire event was filled with the spirit of patriotism, colourful cultural performances, and the message of nation-building.
