Blooming Buds School’s Under-14 Boys Cricket Team Becomes Moga Zone Champion

Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution in Moga city, has carved out a unique identity for itself in the field of sports alongside education, under the able guidance of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini. Frequently, the students of this school achieve new milestones in the fields of education and sports. For many years now, the Blooming Buds School team has continuously been the champion of the Moga zone and district. Continuing this legacy, this year too, the Under-14 boys’ cricket team of Blooming Buds School set a new record by winning the final match in the ongoing Moga Zone Games 2026-27 and became the champion. Sharing detailed information about this, School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani stated that the Moga Zone cricket matches are being conducted right on the grounds of Blooming Buds School. A total of 12 teams from the entire Moga zone participated in these competitions, out of which the Blooming Buds School team and the Government School, Talwandi Bhangerian team reached the final match after winning their quarter-final and semi-final matches. During the final match, the BBS Under-14 boys’ team secured victory by defeating the team from Government School, Talwandi Bhangerian. Batting first, the Blooming Buds School team scored 55 runs, giving a target of 56 runs to the Government School, Talwandi Bhangerian team to win. In response, the Government School, Talwandi Bhangerian team could only manage 37 runs, and Blooming Buds School won this final match by 18 runs. Nishchay was chosen as “Man of the Match” for his stellar batting performance. Along with this, she shared that in the zonal Kho-Kho competitions, the school’s Under-14 and Under-17 girls’ teams secured the second and third positions, respectively. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini congratulated the entire cricket team and school sports in-charge, Punjab Masih. Speaking on the occasion, School Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini stated that it is not necessary for students to progress only in the field of studies, but rather many students create a distinct identity for themselves in the field of sports as well. Therefore, for the all-round development of students, the school has special arrangements for playgrounds, sports equipment, and coaching for almost every type of sport. It is noteworthy that the cricket ground of Blooming Buds School is recognized by the Punjab Cricket Association, Mohali, and a Punjab Cricket Association Regional Cricket Coaching Center is also being operated here. Due to these efforts of the school management and the hard work and dedication of the students, BBS students achieve new milestones every day and further brighten the name of the school.
