Social Worker Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini Releases the Invitation Card for the 10th “Thandi Chhan Da Langar”

The Khalsa Sewa Society (Regd.), Moga, which has been playing a leading role in religious and social service, will organize its 10th special “Thandi Chhan Da Langar” on July 26, 2026, as a tribute to the unparalleled martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj, just as it has done every year. The event will be held with great devotion near Godhewala Stadium, G.T. Road, Moga. The invitation card for this significant event was formally released today by the city’s renowned social worker, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini. During this event BBS Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini, Chairperson, Dr. Hamilia Rani, Principal, S.K. Bansal, NGO Coordinator, Parmjot Singh and Kuldeep Singh Kalsi, representatives of Khalsa Sewa Society were present. After the card release ceremony, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini highly appreciated the society’s unique and commendable initiative. He said that, alongside religious service, such efforts to promote a greener environment are highly beneficial for society. He appealed to residents to move beyond the influence of social media and not plant trees merely for appearances, but to actively plant more saplings and take responsibility for their proper care and maintenance. He emphasized that, in today’s time, caring for planted trees is even more important than planting them, because without proper nurturing and a suitable environment, tree plantation loses its true purpose. The society’s chief volunteers, Parmjot Singh Khalsa and Kuldeep Singh Kalsi, informed the media that Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini will attend the 10th “Thandi Chhan Da Langar” as the Chief Guest. They added that fruit-bearing, shade-giving, and ornamental saplings will be distributed free of cost to devotees and members of the public attending the event. They explained that the primary objective of this noble initiative is to combat rising pollution, increase the earth’s greenery, and create greater public awareness about the importance of tree plantation.
