Blooming Buds School, Moga hosted a Capacity Building Program on the subject of Science organized by CBSE
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution in the region, took another strong step towards teacher development under the able leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini, and as per the directions of CBSE. The school successfully hosted a Capacity Building Program on the subject of Science organized by CBSE. More than 40 teachers participated enthusiastically in this training program. Most of them were from the host school, while others came from distant schools as well. During this day-long training session, teachers learned various theoretical and practical approaches to teaching science through different themes and activities. Principal Chandra Shekhar and teacher Janhvi served as resource persons for the training. They informed teachers about the educational model based on the principles of NCF 2005, focusing on being “true to the child, life, and science.” During the program, information was shared on developing higher-order thinking skills among students through smart learning outcomes and Bloom’s Taxonomy, and on incorporating 21st-century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and computational thinking into classroom teaching. They also demonstrated experiential learning methods through hands-on activities like building straw bridges, paper towers, and catapults. In addition, teachers were trained in lesson planning and rubric-based assessment to ensure transparent and effective evaluation. This program reflects CBSE’s efforts to move away from traditional teaching methods and make science education more activity-based, inquiry-driven, and experiential. At the end of the training, the resource persons were honored with the “Award of Honor” by Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani appreciated the team’s efforts and said, “Blooming Buds School continuously conducts capacity-building training for teachers so that they can update their teaching methods according to modern techniques. This training was also organized with the same objective and has proved to be highly beneficial.” After the training, teachers shared their experiences in a feedback session and pledged to implement these techniques in their daily teaching practices to enhance student participation and improve the quality of learning. Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani also expressed gratitude to BBS Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini for consistently encouraging educational growth and development in the school.
