Blooming Buds School paid Tribute to Shaheed Udham Singh

Blooming Buds School, Moga, a renowned educational institution of the city paid a tribute to Amar Shaheed Udham Singh on his martyrdom day under the able guidance of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini. During a special morning assembly in the school, students presented charts and articles related to Shaheed Udham Singh and his martyrdom. Inspiring the students, Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini said that they should always remember Shaheed Udham Singh’s sacrifice and, keeping a similar spirit of patriotism, work hard to make India a strong and prosperous nation. She further stated that Shaheed Udham Singh’s martyrdom day is a day to remember the sacrifice of a great freedom fighter. It is also a day to fulfill our commitment to freedom and work for the betterment of our country. Following this, School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani shared information about the life and works of Shaheed Udham Singh. Highlighting his bravery, patriotism, and commitment to India’s freedom, she mentioned that Shaheed Udham Singh was born on December 26, 1899, in Sunam, Sangrur district, at the home of Sardar Tehal Singh Ji. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919 left a deep impact on his mind, and he took revenge for it by going to London and shooting General Dyer on March 13, 1940, for which he was hanged on July 31, 1940. She further shared that the assembly was organized by the school to instill the values of patriotism and nationalism in the minds of the students. She said that Shaheed Udham Singh was a true patriot who sacrificed his life for India’s freedom. She appealed to the students to learn from the lives of martyrs and work hard to make India a better place. At the end of the assembly, students took an oath to remain forever loyal to the unity and integrity of India.
