Blooming Buds Senior Secondary School, Chandnawan honoured Winning students at the 9th annual sports meet.
Winning students were honored at the 9th annual sports meet held at Blooming Buds Senior Secondary School, Village-Chandnawan, Tehsil-Baghapurana, District-Moga, which is a part of the prestigious and progressive BBS Group of Schools operating under the capable patronage of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. Famous Punjabi singer K.S. Makhan attended as the chief guest to inaugurate this special ceremony and encouraged the school students. A total of 20 games and 19 track and field events were held during this sports meet, in which students who performed well were honored by the school management and the visiting chief guests.
Speaking on the occasion, School Principal Madam Sarabjit Sharma shared that in the races held for Pre-Nursery students, Navroop Kaur secured first, Gurpreet Singh second, and Shubhdeep Singh third place. In the 70-meter race, Gurpratap Singh and Mansirat Kaur secured first place. In the 100-meter race, Manjot Singh and Prabhjot Kaur secured first place. In the Under-9 age category for the 100-meter race, Satkardeep Singh and Sukhmeet Kaur secured first place. In the Under-11 category, Parampal Singh and Jasmeet Kaur took first place. In the Under-14 age category, Sahajdeep Singh and Armaan Kaur secured first place. In the Under-17 100-meter race, Abhijot Singh Brar and Navneet Kaur secured first place. In the Under-19 category, Gurnoor Singh and Sarabjit Kaur secured first place. In the Under-11 200-meter race, Harjot Singh and Kulveer Kaur secured first place. In the Under-14 200-meter race, Emanuel Singh and Jaspreet Kaur secured first place. In the Under-17 200-meter race, Ramandeep Singh and Aanchal Kaur secured first place. In the Under-19 200-meter race, Shamanpreet Singh and Karampreet Kaur secured first place. In the Under-14 400-meter race, Rishav Kumar secured first place. In the Under-19 600-meter race, Vikas Kumar secured first place.
Similarly, in the Fun Races for Under-5, Gurfateh Singh, Gurleen Kaur, Sabijot Singh, Rehmatveer Singh, Mankirat Kaur, and Nimrat Kaur secured first place. In the Under-7 Fun Races, Diljot Kaur, Dilraj Singh, Gursirat Kaur, Jaskaran Singh, Rajveer Kaur, and Manpreet Kaur secured first place. In the Chati Race (pot race), Simarjit Kaur secured first place. In the Under-17 100-meter relay race, Amritpal Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Gurshaan Singh, and Abhijot Singh secured first place. In the Under-17 girls’ 100-meter relay race, Simranjit Kaur, Janvi Sharma, Simranjit Kaur, and Jasmeet Kaur secured first place. In the 100-meter hurdle race, Inderveer Singh Gill and Sahil secured first place.
Madam Raman Sharma, Gunraj Kaur, Jasveer Kaur, and Balveer Kaur stated that such competitions lead to the all-round development of students and instill a sense of competition in them. Good students bring fame to their school and parents by performing well in sports along with their studies.
