The martyrdom of the Sahibzadas proved that no religion is greater than humanity: Kamal Saini.
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution in Moga city organized a special assembly under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. The assembly paid tribute to the four Sahibzadas of the tenth Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Gujri Ji, marking the ongoing days of their martyrdom and the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas. During this event, students performed the Shabad “Waatan Lamiyan Te Rasta Pahar Da,” related to the separation of the family and the “Safar-e-Shahadat” (Journey of Martyrdom), which moved the entire staff and students to tears.
Under the guidelines issued by the CBSE Board and the Punjab Education Department, various activities were organized to share information about the martyrdom and bravery of the four Sahibzadas: Baba Ajit Singh Ji, Baba Jujhar Singh Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji, and Baba Fateh Singh Ji. In this context, students at Blooming Buds School shared detailed information about the four Sahibzadas and presented poems dedicated to their martyrdom while singing hymns. They explained how Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji sacrificed his four sons for the sake of the nation. While fighting the forces of the Mughals and the hill kings, the two elder Sahibzadas, Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh, achieved martyrdom in the Battle of Chamkaur Sahib. Upon refusing to accept Islam, the two younger Sahibzadas were subjected to immense torture by the Nawab of Sirhind, bricked alive into walls, and eventually executed.
On this occasion, Punjabi teacher Dr. Prabhjot Kaur shared that while fighting the Mughal forces, the Guru’s younger sons and his mother were separated from him, which is why these days are referred to as “Parivar Vichora” (Separation of the Family). Paying tribute to the greatness of the martyrdom of all four Sahibzadas, Madam Kamal Saini further stated that their sacrifice teaches us a great deal. She noted that the martyrdom of the elder Sahibzadas, Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh, teaches us that no matter how great the trouble standing before us, we should always face it with full courage and strength. Similarly, the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas proved that there is no religion greater than humanity and that one should never bow down to evil or tyranny. She urged the children to adopt the teachings of the Gurus in their lives so they could lead a truthful and pure life. The entire staff and students were present on this occasion.
