Blooming Buds School paid Tribute the martyrs of the Indian Army on the occasion of ‘Vijay Diwas’
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of Moga city celebrated ‘Vijay Diwas’ to commemorate India’s magnificent victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war under the able leadership of BBS Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. On this occasion, a special prayer assembly was organized in the school, in which students and staff remembered the sacrifice of the country’s brave soldiers and presented charts and articles related to this day. School students explained how on December 16, 1971, the Indian Army forced the Pakistani Army to kneel, which resulted in the birth of a new country ‘Bangladesh’. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani congratulated the students on Vijay Diwas and said that at the end of the war between India and Pakistan in 1971, Pakistani Army Chief General A.A.K. Niazi, along with his 93,000 soldiers, surrendered before Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Arora of the Indian Army. This was the largest surrender of any army since the Second World War. As a result of this victory, a new country ‘Bangladesh’ came into existence on the world map. Before this, this area was known as ‘East Pakistan’. She further said that Vijay Diwas is not just a day of victory, but it is a symbol of our army’s incredible courage, discipline, and commitment to the country. She said that the main purpose of celebrating such days is to create a spirit of patriotism among the younger generation. School Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini, sharing her thoughts, said that we are proud of our country’s soldiers who protect us by guarding the borders day and night. She appealed to the students to also become disciplined like the soldiers and contribute to the service of the country. All the staff and students were present on this occasion.
