Blooming Buds School Moga’s 18th BBS Games: Winning teams, players and academically high-achieving student honoured.

The 18th BBS Annual Games, held under the guidance of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini at the famous educational institution of Moga city, Blooming Buds School, concluded memorably. Students enthusiastically participated in nearly 38 indoor and outdoor games and 22 track and field events in these annual games. Students who were victorious in these various competitions and those who secured positions in academics during the year 2024-25 were honored with trophies and medals by International Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, famous singer Shri K S Makhan, Prime Asia Celebrity Reporter Shri Swaran Singh Tehna, and Sardar Harminder Singh Bhullar Ji (father of the Captain of the Indian International Women’s Team, Harmanpreet Kaur), Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini, and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini Ji. Also present on this occasion were Davinderpal Singh Rimpi (Chairman Desh Bhagat Group of College) and Jasvir Singh Brar (Chairman California School). These games are organized between the school’s four houses: Blue, Red, Yellow, and Green House, and points are given to each winning house. Giving information about the results of this year’s sports competitions, Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini Ji informed that, like last year, the Blue House remained the winner by securing nearly 400 points this year as well. On this occasion, School Principal Madam Hamilliya Rani informed that the winning team in the Inter-House sports competitions was given a Running Trophy and the Best Player was given an Individual Trophy, the results of which are as follows:

• Ball Badminton Under 14 Girls – Red House was the winner.
• Basketball Under 14 Boys – Red House was the winner, and Navraj Singh was selected as the Best Player. Under 17 Boys – Yellow House was the winner, and Shivkaran Singh was selected as the Best Player. Under 17 Girls – Blue House was the winner, and Gurjot Kaur was selected as the Best Player. Under 19 Girls – Green House was the winner, and Harneet Kaur was selected as the Best Player.
• Tennis Cricket Under 11 Boys – Blue House was the winner, in which Nischay was selected as the Best Batsman and Ayush as the Best Bowler.
• Cricket Under 14 Boys – Blue House was the winner, Cricket Under 17 Boys – Blue House was the winner, Under 19 Boys – Blue House was also the winner.
• Softball Under 14 Girls – Red House was the winner, and Under 19 Girls – Green House was the winner.
• Football Under 14 Boys – Yellow House was the winner, and Karanpreet Singh was the Best Player, Football Under 17 Boys – Blue House was the winner, and Sukhmanjot Singh was the Best Player.
• Handball Under 14 Girls – Blue House was the winner, and Harpreet Kaur was selected as the Best Player, Handball Under 17 Girls – Blue House was also the winner.
• Kabaddi Under 14 Boys – Green House was the winner, Kabaddi Under 17 Boys – Blue House was the winner.
• Kho Kho Under 14 Girls – Red House was the winner, and Muskanpreet Kaur was the Best Player.
• Netball Under 14 Girls – Green House was the winner, and Navdeep Kaur was selected as the Best Player.
• Throwball Under 17 Girls – Red House was the winner, and Kiranjot Kaur was selected as the Best Player, Throwball Under 19 Girls – Red House was the winner, and Simranjit Kaur was selected as the Best Player.
• Volleyball Under 14 Boys – Red House was the winner, and Ishanjot Singh was selected as the Best Player, Volleyball Under 17 Boys – Blue House was the winner, and Jaspreet Singh was selected as the Best Player.

Apart from this, the players who were victorious in the Track and Field Events including 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 600 meters, 800 meters, 1500 meters, 4 x 100 Relay, Fun Races, Discus Throw, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, etc. were honored with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. It is worth mentioning that while students who excelled in academics were honored, the Best Player from every sport was also honored, which clearly shows that the main objective of the management of Blooming Buds School is the all-round development of every student. Because students have a lot of energy, if they don’t get a platform to channel their energy in the right direction, they start wasting their energy on wrong deeds or mobile screens.
