National Science Day was celebrated today under the leadership of BBS Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini, Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini in Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of district Moga. Various charts and articles related to science subjects were presented by the students dedicated to Great Scientist of India Bharat Ratna C.V. Raman in connection with the National Science Day. Meanwhile, Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani said that this day is celebrated due to the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by India’s famous scientist C.V. Raman which was made in 1928, he also received the Nobel Prize for this discovery in 1930 and since 1987, February 28 is celebrated as National Science Day every year. The celebration of this day includes public lectures, science films, science exhibitions, events based on science topics, concepts and many other activities. Under this, Science Olympiad organised for students. In which 4 teams were formed in the name of great scientists of the country like C.V. Raman Team, Abdul Kalam Team, Homi Jahangir Bhabha Team, Jagadish Chandra Bose Team. Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani asked questions to all the students related to science. Students who answered first were included in the team. This competition was first conducted for 5th to 8th classes and then for 2nd to 4th classes. Giving information about this competition, school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani said that the winning students will be honoured. In school, such activities are often conducted for students so that they can also get practical knowledge related to science subject.
